Cross-Country Skiing Etiquette

  • Avoid snowshoeing or walking over a cross-county ski track. It ruins the track for other cross-country skiers.
  • Step out of the track when resting or adjusting gear. When skiing in a track, give the downhill skier the right of way.
  • Pets are not recommended. Pets can ruin the ski track and deep snow is physically hard on animals.
  • Pack out all litter.
  • Report any damaged or missing signs and trail markers to the Forest Service.
