Bandera-Hansen Thin Stewardship Reoffer

The Forest Service will receive technical and price proposals (no public opening) at the Snoqualmie Ranger District, 902 SE North Bend Way, North Bend, WA 98045 no later than 4:30 PM local time on August 17th, 2017 for the Bandera-Hansen Thin Stewardship Reoffer. The contract area is located in King County, Washington in Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 22, 27 and 28, T.22N, R.10E, W.M. Integrated Resource Timber Contract 2400-13 will be used. The termination date for this contract is December 31, 2021.

The stewardship contract includes timber harvest and four restorative service projects. Timber harvest includes both commercial thinning and creation of wildlife habitat openings.  Restorative service projects include roadside treatments of invasive plant species and decommissioning of roads. The contract contains specified roads with an estimated public works construction cost of $418,272.03.

Estimated quantities of timber included in this contract are 7,445 tons of Douglas-fir and 19,459 tons of western hemlock, red alder, and other coniferous species. The Forest Service encourages potential bidders to make their own inspection and estimate prior to submission of technical and price proposals.

The minimum acceptable bid for advertised timber is $4.23 per ton for all species. In addition to the price proposal, offerors must submit a technical proposal describing their technical approach, capability and relevant past performance, and utilization of local workforce.
