Discover Nature Day was held on April 28th at the Seneca Rocks Discovery Center (SRDC). This marks the 7th consecutive year for this event. The day was a success! This was in large part due to the 44 volunteers from inside and outside the Forest Service.

Pitching in and Learning Together

The day started off will a garlic mustard pull where 44 volunteers worked together to remove over 100 pounds of the invasive garlic mustard from SRDC grounds. In the afternoon, there was an activity fair in and around the Discovery Center featuring 14 booths of varying topics from different agencies. In total, there were approximately 400 attendees to the event throughout the day. Kids and adults alike learned about nature and all that this forest has to offer!
