0 Open burning and slash burning permitted.

 

Open burning (including residential and agricultural) and land clearing burning permitted.

(Fire Departments under DEQ burn status may be more restrictive)

1 Closed Season

Fire precaution requirements are in effect. A Fire Watch/Security is required at this and all higher levels unless otherwise waived.
All burning, including agricultural, must be out by the close of the day.

Partial Hootowl

The following may operate only between the hours of 6 PM and 1 PM local time:

  • Power saws, except at loading sites;
  • Cable yarding;
  • Blasting;
  • Welding or cutting of metal.
No burning, except fot recreational and campfires in approved areas.

(Except for special burn permits for disposal of diseased or noxious plants, bug infestations, or permits for disposal of fire hazards or health hazard material)

Partial Shutdown

The following are prohibited exceptions as indicated:

  • Cable yarding – except that gravity operated systems employing non-motorized carriages may operate between 8 PM and 1 PM. When all blocks and moving lines, except the line between the carriage and the chokers, are suspended 10 feet above the ground;

In addition, the following are permitted to operate between the hours of 8 PM and 1 PM local time;

  • Tractor/skidder operations;
  • Mechanized loading or hauling of any product or material;
  • Blasting;
  • Welding or cutting of metal;
  • Any other spark-emitting operation not specifically mentioned.
Campfires in approved areas, or approved fire pits only.


Field burning may be allowed. No other burning is permitted.
