Fire Maps

The map depicts the location of wildfires on the National Forest. Smoke Checks are fires that have been reported to the dispatch center and are in the process of being confirmed by aerial and/or ground resources. The map(s) show Area Closures, Trail Closures, Road Closures, and Fire Perimeters.

The map is downloadable as a .pdf file. We’ll be updating these maps periodically to provide the most up-to-date data.

Forest Closure Orders

During fire season we publish forest orders, which are documents that officially close roads, trails, and areas due to fire activity for public safety and other reasons. They can be found on our Public Notices page. Some closures may cross over into other forest districts.

If you need assistance, feel free to contact your local Ranger District or Forest Office.
