Upcoming detour on Beaver Creek Road #247

The Nez Perce–Clearwater National Forests, in coordination with Potlatch Corporation and the Idaho Department of Lands, will begin work soon to replace culverts along Forest Service road (FSR) 247 (Beaver Creek Road). A detour will be in place during the construction work, which is expected to last approximately six weeks.

Culvert replacement work on Beaver Creek Road is scheduled to begin Monday, June 18. During this time, the road will be closed to through traffic and a detour will be provided via FSR 246 (Scofield Road) and Browns Rock, a Potlatch Corporation road. The 16-mile detour will begin at Headquarters, Idaho and end at Camp 14, the junction of FSR 680 (Sheep Mountain Road) and FSR 247.

The culvert replacement project and related detour are expected to last through July. Road crews plan to pause operations from June 29-July 9 to accomodate visitor traffic during the week of Fourth of July; FSR 247 will be open during this time.
