Seasonal Road Closures Begin Jan. 5 on Cheoah Ranger District

ROBBINSVILLE, N.C., Dec. 22, 2014 -- U.S. Forest Service officials remind residents that several roads will close on Jan. 5, 2015 as scheduled on the Cheoah Ranger District, Nantahala National Forest. These roads are located in Graham county.

The Forest Service closes certain roads to motorized vehicles on the Cheoah Ranger District to help protect wildlife habitat, decrease wildlife disturbance, and reduce road maintenance costs. In addition, the closures can protect public safety during long bouts of adverse weather.  

The following roads will be closed Jan. 5 - April 1, 2015, unless otherwise noted:
