Methow Valley RD Prescribed Fires

The Methow Valley Ranger District completed a 450 acre prescription burn May 22, 2018 in the Eightmile drainage.  The unit will continue to produce some smoke as larger fuels burnout.

With the green that is occurring and the extended weather forecasted for warmer and drier conditions, the Methow Valley Ranger District does not anticipate any additional prescribed burning until this Fall.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to treat hazardous fuels and restore resilient landscapes.  These types of prescribed fires will also help provide areas where we have a higher probability of safely stopping a wildfire in the future.
