Several Local Forest Service Offices Closed for Training Days June 11-14

Wenatchee –Several local Forest Service offices are planning to be closed from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on various days the week of June 11-14 to accommodate mandatory training for all district and forest employees. Individuals planning to purchase permits or other items may do so when the office reopens the following day. Some areas do have local vendors where firewood permits can be obtained.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience during these short office closures,” said Deborah Kelly, Acting Public Affairs Officer. “It is important that all of our employees have the chance to participate in these brief mandatory training sessions.”

The following Forest Service offices will be closed on noted days:

Naches Ranger District – Tuesday, June 12 – Closed

Entiat Ranger District – Wednesday, June 13 – Closed

Methow Ranger District – Thursday, June 14 – Closed

Tonasket Ranger District & Omak Visitor Center – will be closed on both Wednesday, June 13 and Thursday, June 14 for training and orientation meetings.

Wenatchee River Ranger District– Thursday, June 14 – Closed

The Cle Elum and Chelan Ranger District offices and Wenatchee Supervisor’s Office will remain open for regular business Monday through Friday.
