Clean-Up Day on the Olympic National Forest

Olympic National Forest sign at Seal RockQuilcene, WA –Join the Hood Canal Ranger District for an opportunity to give back to your public lands.   The Hood Canal Ranger District is planning a forest clean-up day to celebrate National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 22, 2018.

As more and more visitors come to enjoy the National Forests, trash and littering has been on the increase and the pristine landscape that we love is often hidden under debris.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of National Public Lands Day, a day set aside for outdoor enthusiasts to give back and enjoy their favorite outdoor places.

Volunteers please meet at Hoodsport Work Center, 150 Finch Creek Road, in Hoodsport, WA at 10 AM for a brief safety message, pick up supplies and break into teams for the “Clean up Your Forest” event.  We plan on returning to the Work Center by 2 PM.

To sign up please fill out a volunteer agreement and mail to the Hood Canal Ranger District, PO Box 280, Quilcene, WA 98376 or email the form to Nicole LaGioia at
