Fire use restrictions in effect

Campfires, all stoves, and smoking are not allowed currently.

Reducing or eliminating ignition sources is critical, considering 95% of all CA wildfires are human caused. Fire use restrictions are a necessary step to help ensure firefighters are available to safely respond and manage incidents and to protect communities.

Information about private land fire restrictions (regulated by the CA Department of Forestry & Fire Protection (CAL FIRE)) may be found at:

Fire Use Restrictions

  1. Fire restrictions may change based on Forest conditions; users are responsible for contacting the Forest for current information regarding the status of developed recreation sites. Within open developed recreation sites, if allowable under current fire restrictions, campfires must be built in agency installed & approved fire pits.

Outside open developed recreation sites, people may not build, maintain, attend, or use fire, including all stoves, even with a CA Campfire Permit.
