Plumas National Forest – Big Bald Rock Trail hike

Bald Rock Trail SignQUINCY, Calif. – Join Plumas National Forest specialists, June 9, for a guided interpretive hike on the Big Bald Rock Trail near Berry Creek, California.

In celebration of National Trails Day and the 50th anniversary of the National Trails Act and the National Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, interpreters will include an overview of the Acts at the trailhead and will then focus on wildlife and geology along the trail.

The hike begins 9:30 a.m. at the Big Bald Rock trailhead off Bald Rock Road and is expected to end about 11 a.m. in the same location. Note: Do not go to the Dome Trailhead on Forest Service Road #21N51Y.

Wear appropriate hiking apparel and bring water, sunscreen and a lunch if you would like to picnic afterwards.
