Leadville Ranger District Broadcast Burning – 2018

Flume Creek Prescribed Fire Project: The goal is to burn approximately 120 acres of U.S. Forest land to reduce the accumulation of hazardous fuels, restore and maintain healthy and diverse forest ecosystems and maintain and enhance wildlife habitat.  This will be the first and last treatment in this project area.  The project area is on the southeast side of Twin Lakes Reservoir.  Legal location is: T11S, R80W, sections23, 26.  This project is partially funded by partnership dollars.
