U.S. Forest Service Welcomes Acting Leadville District Ranger Jace Ratzlaff

LEADVILLE, Colo., Mar. 11, 2019 – Forest and Grassland Supervisor Diana Trujillo has selected Jace Ratzlaff to serve as the Acting Leadville District Ranger. Ratzlaff comes to the Pike & San Isabel National Forests, Cimarron & Comanche National Grasslands (PSICC) with extensive background from the Rocky Mountain Regional Office where he has served as the Legislative Affairs and Secure Rural Schools Coordinator for the past six years.

Ratzlaff began his career with the Forest Service on the PSICC in 2009. “It’s great to return to the PSICC,” said Ratzlaff, who served as a Public Affairs Specialist in Pueblo from 2009 to 2011. “I’m looking forward engaging the citizens, partners and leadership in this community so that we can better serve the national forest and its users.”

Ratzlaff will be filling a four month, temporary assignment in Leadville, Colorado and assumed his post on March 11.
