San Carlos Ranger District Welcomes New District Ranger

CAÑON CITY, Colo., March 25, 2019 The Pike & San Isabel National Forests, Cimarron & Comanche National Grasslands (PSICC) is pleased to welcome Destiny Chapman as the new San Carlos Ranger District (SCRD) District Ranger.

Chapman comes to the SCRD from the Forest Headquarters in Pueblo, where she has served the last nine years as the PSICC’s administrative officer. Prior to that, Chapman worked for the Colorado State University System as an internal auditor, as well as with the Department of Energy’s Office of Inspector General.

A Florence High School graduate who lived in the Wetmore area until graduating from college, Chapman brings a wealth of local knowledge to the position. “I am very excited to assume this leadership role with such a great staff on the San Carlos District,” said Chapman. “I look forward to working with the many communities we serve as we bring the management of national forest lands into a healthy and prosperous future.”

Chapman earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in Finance and Accounting, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University-Pueblo.
