June 21, 2019 | Northern Region announces new Deputy Regional Foresters

MISSOULA, Mont., June 21, 2019 – Regional Forester Leanne Marten today announced that Melany Glossa and Keith Lannom have been selected as Deputy Regional Foresters for the USDA Forest Service's Northern Region.

"Melany and Keith are dedicated public servants and proven leaders," Marten said. "We are excited to have them join us as we work together with our state, Tribal, and community partners and volunteers to enhance forest and grassland health and further economic prosperity for our communities."

Glossa is currently a Deputy Regional Forester for the Eastern Region in Milwaukee, Wis.  She has been with the Forest Service since 2001 and has worked as a forest planner, district ranger and forest supervisor in Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Indiana and Montana.

Lannom is currently the Forest Supervisor for the Payette National Forest in McCall, Idaho.  He first joined the Forest Service in 1992 upon completion of graduate school in Mississippi.  He has worked in geospatial and remote sensing technology and has served as a district ranger and forest supervisor in Tennessee, New Hampshire and Idaho.
