May 

  • Left Hand Canyon. Held in May, in cooperation with the Boulder Ranger District of the Arapaho/Roosevelt National Forest, this is a day for motorized-recreation enthusiasts and others to get together and voluntarily help maintain trails, pick up trash, etc. Find out more at http://cohvco.org/.

June 

  • National Get Outdoors Day. Held in June, annually, this is a day to celebrate many ways to enjoy the outdoors, filled with fun events and exploration. For more information go to http://www.nationalgetoutdoorsday.org/.
  • National Trails Day. Held in early June each year, this event leads to helping many National Forests address their trail needs through volunteers. http://www.americanhiking.org/NTD.aspx.

July 

  • Pulling for Colorado. Usually in July, this is a day for action: working together to rid the landscape of invasive plants. See http://www.cwma.org/p4c.html for more information.

September 

  •  Public Lands Day. This is held in September every year and many National Forests and National Grasslands participate in ways, including trail work, planting trees, restoring camp sites, etc. For more information go to http://www.publiclandsday.org/.
  • Water Monitoring Day. Sept. 18. Usually in September. For more information go to http://www.worldwatermonitoringday.org/.
