The Information Management directorate at the Forest Service Regional Office in Vallejo is seeking to fill up to 13 positions in technology and data management, project management, and GIS/remote sensing. We are seeking qualified candidates who are eligible for special hiring authorities and available to interview immediately. Most of these positions are eligible for remote work and all of them are eligible for maximum telework. GS-0301-13 Supervisory Branch Chiefs (Mapping and Remote Sensing group; Data and Analysis group)
Supervise the employees and oversee all activities of the group within the larger IM team. Collaborate on strategic projects as part of the IM leadership cadre, National IM community, and external partners.

GS-0343-11/12 (2 positions) Requirements Managers
Conduct operational requirements analysis with customers on all incoming projects to ensure that needs are traced to proposed solutions.  Coordinates communications between customer and solution provider.
    
GS-1560-11/12 (2 positions) Data Scientist and Data Mediation Specialist
Analyzes, organizes and processes data to answer complex land management activities, coordinates across partners and agencies.  Develops tools to assist in data interoperability as part of a team.

GS-0301-11/12 (3 positions) GIS System specialist / Data Manager / Model Script & Query Execution
Conduct GIS/remote sensing/database analyses and operations and/or develop custom scripts and algorithms to address routine or novel project needs. Ensure data quality and standardization.
