RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Noble Creek has been established as a Mobilization Center (MOB) to support the ongoing firefighting efforts in the Southern California Basin. A MOB Center serves as a crucial hub where resources — including personnel, equipment and supplies — are gathered and organized before being sent to a wildfire incident.

Key to Firefighting Efforts – Resources have been mobilized from various federal, state, tribal, local and international agencies for quick response to ongoing fires in anticipation of more red flag conditions. MOB center resources provide a place to check-in, gain situational awareness, and take care of administrative tasks before heading out to the active fire.

Streamlined Operations During Emergencies – “MOB Centers are essential during large-scale emergencies, such as the current wildfires in the Southern California Basin,” said Matt Ahearn, U.S. Forest Service Assistant Director, Operations Southern California. “By coordinating efforts and resources from various agencies, we are able to respond more effectively and efficiently to wildfire incidents.”

Collaboration Across Agencies – The establishment of the MOB Center at Noble Creek highlights the importance of collaboration among different agencies when tackling large-scale emergencies. The combined efforts of federal, state, tribal, local and international agencies ensure a more robust, coordinated response to wildfire incidents.
