USDA Forest Service to recruit student interns, recent graduates at Society of American Foresters Convention

Milwaukee, WI - The USDA Forest Service will be recruiting students and recent graduates at the Society of American Foresters Convention Oct. 30 to Nov. 3 in Louisville, Kentucky.  

The Forest Service is searching for people who want to live the Forest Service mission to care for the land and serve the people and will be recruiting for two programs. 

The Pathways Internship program offers paid career development opportunities to students enrolled in qualifying educational programs or institutions.  

The Pathways Recent Graduate program is tailored toward those who have received a qualifying degree or certificate from an institution of higher education within the previous two years. Veterans whose military service obligations prevent them from applying within this period have up to six years to apply.  

Interns and recent graduates receive on-the-job training and mentorship. Upon successful completion of the program, student interns and recent graduates may be converted to a permanent position.

  • Forester  
  • Forestry Technician 
  • Natural Resources Specialist

A computer lab will be available at the 2019 Society of American Foresters National Convention to help people submit applications through Interested people do not to be registered at the SAF National Convention access to the computer lab or apply for these jobs.
