Fire Information: Taylor Creek Fire

BACKGROUND

The Taylor Creek Fire was started by lightning on July 15, 2018 near Grants Pass, Oregon. Transfer of command of the fire from the Incident Management Team from the Oregon Department of Forestry to the Pacific Northwest National Incident Management Team 2 occurred on July 30, 2018.

Firefighters and support personnel are working to contain the fire and protect structures in the impacted areas.

Cooperating agencies include the Oregon State Fire Marshal, Oregon Department of Forestry, Bureau of Land Management, Rogue Valley Fire Chiefs Association, Josephine County Sheriff, Jackson County Sheriff, Josephine County Emergency Management, U.S. Forest Service Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest and Umpqua National Forest, and the American Red Cross.
