Effective Wednesday, Portions of Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest Moves to Extreme Fire Danger

As predicted record heat and increasingly dry conditions come to southwest Oregon, the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest is moving to “Extreme” fire danger on the High Cascades, Siskiyou Mountains, and Wild Rivers Ranger Districts. The increase in fire danger is effective at 12:01 a.m. August 2, 2017. Fire danger on the Gold Beach and Powers Ranger Districts remains at “High” at this time.
