Pagosa Ranger District Offers Update on Winter Forest Roads

PAGOSA SPRINGS, Colorado – The Pagosa Ranger District has released an updated list of Forest Service road closures for early winter.

As of the end of the day, January 19, the following roads listed below are CLOSED to wheeled motorized vehicles:

Black Mountain #661, Blue Creek #012/Big Branch #664, Burns Canyon #649 (above 2nd gate), Chris Mountain Road #681, East Fork #667, Echo Canyon #029, Eight Mile Mesa #651, Falls Creek Road #039, Fawn Gulch #666, First Fork #622 (gate at Sheep Creek), Jackson Mountain #037, Jack’s Pasture Road #746, Kenney Flats #006, Lefthand Canyon #024, Lower Piedra to Campground #621, Monument Park East #630, Monument Park West #630, Nipple Mtn #665, Nipple Mtn #665 (above Echo Canyon),  Plumtaw #634, Poison Park #644, Snowball #646, Snow Ranch #628, Trail Ride Road #639, Turkey Creek #647, Turkey Springs #629 – Upper, Turkey Springs #629 – Lower/Middle Gate, Valle Seco Upper #653 to private property, Williams Creek #640 (to Palisades HC), Wolf Creek Road #725
