Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger District Field Tract Campground Now on Recreation.gov

SANTA FE, NM – April 13, 2018 – For Immediate Release. The Santa Fe National Forest would like to inform the public of the opportunity to reserve in advance, camp sites at Field Tract Campground. This is the first campground in the Pecos Canyon Corridor to sign onto Recreation.gov for reservation of individual campsites.

There is a total of 15 camp sites available with amenities such as shelters, campfire rings, and picnic tables. Additional amenities within the campground is water, toilets and a campground host.

Recreation users may be familiar with Holy Ghost Group Site and Jacks Creek Group sites. The sites have been a part of Recreation.gov for 15 plus years. Both Groups Sites are designed to accommodate large groups of 30 to 50 or more individuals. Holy Ghost Group site provides a large canopy structure, grills, picnic tables, toilet facility and a paved parking area for RV access. Jacks Creek Groups Sites, A and B, are situated away from the general camping area with all the standard amenities such as fire rings, grills, picnic tables, toilet facility, water and a paved parking area.

The public will continue to have campgrounds in the Pecos Canyon Corridor that will remain first- come, first-serve basis such as Jacks Creek, Jacks Creek Equestrian, Holy Ghost, Cowles, Iron Gate, and Davis Willow.
