Trapper Creek Fire starts on Minidoka Ranger District

 

BURLEY, ID – A lightning caused fire was reported yesterday at 4:45 pm in the Trapper Creek area on the Minidoka Ranger District, Sawtooth National Forest.

 

Currently the fire is 250 acres in size.  It is burning in grass, sage, and juniper.  There are 4 engines, a helicopter, air tankers, and various personnel assisting on this fire.  Additional resources are enroute to the fire today.  Hot and dry conditions are forecasted for the next several days. 

 

Please do not travel into the area where firefighters are working for their safety and yours.
