SAN BERNARDINO NATIONAL FOREST
Forest Order No. 05-12-00-20-02
City Creek, Fuller Mill Creek and North Fork San Jacinto River Closure

Pursuant to 16 USC 551 and 36 CFR 261.50(a), and to protect an endangered species, the following acts are prohibited within the San Bernardino National Forest. This Order is effective from March 20, 2020, through October 31, 2020.

1.    Going into or being upon any National Forest System lands in or within 100 feet of the following areas, as shown on Exhibit A:
a.    The main stem of City Creek from the northern border of Section 3, Township 1 North, Range 3 West, San Bernardino Baseline and Meridian (SBM), to the southern border of S. 22, T. 1 N., R. 3 W., SBM;
b.    The East Fork of City Creek from the northern border of S. 2, T. 1 N., R. 3 W., SBM, to its confluence with the main stem of City Creek in S. 15, T. 1 N., R. 3 W., SBM; and
c.    Schenk Creek in S. 10 ,T. 1 N., R. 3 W., SBM.
This closure does not affect privately owned property adjacent to National Forest System lands. 36 CFR 261.53(a).

2.    Going into or being within 10 feet of the North Fork San Jacinto River, its two tributaries, Fuller Mill Creek, and its tributary, as shown on Exhibit B. This closure does not affect privately owned property adjacent to National Forest System lands. 36 CFR 261.53(a).

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:

1.    Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.

2.    Persons with a permit from the Forest Service specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission.

These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions in 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.

A violation of these prohibitions is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both. 16 USC 551 and 18 USC 3559, 3571, and 3581.
