Salmon, ID – The Salmonā€Challis National Forest, Idaho Department of Fish and Game, and Lemhi County are putting the final touches on the Williams Lake Boat Ramp Project.  The funding for the project came from a combination of Idaho Fish and Game fishing license fees, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Funds, Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation Waterways Improvement Grant Funds, and other contributions from all partners involved.  The upgrades include: replacement of the old failing ramp with a new slide in place single piece ramp with a pour in place access ramp above, replacement of the existing docks with new docks next to the ramp, adding new fishing docks anchored off the existing concreate walk (east of the boat ramp) and chip sealing the access roads and parking area.  These upgrades will improve visitor experience, safety and accessibility for recreationalists at Williams Lake.

The boat ramp, docks and parking area will be open to the public beginning Thursday September 6.
