Long Cane District Ranger

J.R. Kirkaldie accepted the position of district ranger on the Sumter National Forest's Long Cane District in September of 2010. Prior to that he served as district ranger on the Roosevelt/Duchesne District on the Ashley National Forest in northeast Utah. J.R. was a member of the resources staff on the South Platte RD in Colorado, served as the deputy manager on the Imperial Wildlife Refuge for the US Fish and Wildlife Service in AZ and has held various natural resources positions with the Bureau of Reclamation and the National Park Service.
