Resource Advisory Committee

The Shoshone Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) was formed in the spring of 2010. The 15-member RAC represents a wide range of interests; it is comprised of citizens and representatives from industry, special interest groups, tribes and local government. RAC duties include reviewing proposed land management projects on or adjacent to the Shoshone National Forest and selecting projects to recommend to the Designated Federal Official, Joe Alexander. The projects are funded through Title II of the Secure Rural Schools Act and must benefit resources of the national forest. The RAC is also responsible for coordinating with land management agencies and county officials in Park and Fremont Counties in Wyoming.
