Learn About American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
Many of the communities most affected by the economic downturn are located near national forests. Like other national forests throughout California, the Stanislaus National Forest is working to get ARRA funds into surrounding local communities impacted by the economic downturn.
Methods utilized to implement the program locally include contracts, and competitive grants and agreements with local communities and youth corp organizations. These projects help to provide jobs in our local community while making improvements on the Stanislaus National Forest.
