4th Technical Partner Meeting
February 25, 2020
The 4th Technical Partner Meeting was held on February 25, 2020. This meeting was focused on forest plan monitoring, which can be found in chapter 4 of the draft forest plan. The purpose of the forest plan monitoring is to test assumptions, track changes, and measure management effectiveness and progress towards achieving or maintaining the plan’s desired conditions or objectives.
At this meeting partners worked with resource specialists to discuss and provide feedback on the monitoring plan; look for opportunities to design and carry out multi-party monitoring; learn of other monitoring information, data sources, and other relevant monitoring protocols.
The goals of this partner meeting were to:
- Get feedback from the public and partners on forest plan monitoring – specifically focusing on key indicators and potential data sources for management questions.
- Identify any existing data or other monitoring programs that may be relevant to the forest plan monitoring.
- Identify opportunities for multi-party monitoring; identify partners that have a mutual interest in monitoring.
