Ogden Ranger District
Located along the northern tip of the Wasatch Front mountains and the densely populated Ogden region, the Ogden Ranger District is frequented most often by day visitors. One of the District's most popular destinations, the Pineview Reservoir, sees an astounding 750,000 visits annually. Other popular locales include Snowbasin Ski Area, host to numerous 2002 Winter Olympic events, and Monte Cristo, a very popular snowmobiling area located on State Highway 39.

Recreation
From May through September, the District is very busy place especially on the weekends. On Pineview Reservoir, visitors can indulge in water sports such as boating, swimming and fishing. Camping is also available at Pineview. Summer visitors can take a scenic drive, hike, bike, watch birds and wildlife, and ride their OHVs. Winter activities include snowmobiling, downhill and cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and ice-fishing.
