Green Canyon Seasonal Snow Trail Closure

Salt Lake City, Utah – March 9, 2018 – Jennefer Parker, Logan District Ranger of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests, announced a seasonal closure to livestock use on the Green Canyon groomed snow trail (Forest Service snow trail #7000).

The closure prohibits possessing or using any livestock which includes, but not limited to horses, mules, burros/donkey, goats, cattle, sheep, hogs, alpacas, buffalo, llamas and etc. upon the groomed snow trail. The closure begins at the Green Canyon trailhead and goes east 4.3 miles to the end of the groomed trail. (see attached map)

Purpose of the closure is to prevent damage to the groomed snow trail from livestock. The closure will be in place annually, December through April 14, while the snow trail is groomed.
