Mule Deer Winter Habitat Project Logan Ranger District

The Logan Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest is seeking volunteers to assist in a shrub planting project to improve mule deer winter habitat.
When and Where:     Friday, April 12, 2019   9:00am – 3:00pm
                                     Saturday, April 13, 2019 10:00am-2:00pm
                                     Green Canyon parking lot

Volunteers will be planting mountain sagebrush, mahogany, snowberry and bitterbrush seedlings in Green Canyon and around the Green Canyon parking lot located on the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.

Volunteers are required to dress for the weather and the nature of the work by wearing long sleeves, long pants, boots, eye protection, and bring lots of water.  They are also encouraged to bring shovels, bulb planting tools or small augers if you have them.
