Forest Service Road 7312 Closed for Bridge Replacement

Contact(s): Katy Gray

BAKER CITY, OR – The Wallowa-Whitman National Forest will temporarily close a segment of Forest Service Road 7312 beginning Thursday, June 7th while a load-bearing bridge is removed and replaced. The work is expected to take between 30 and 60 days to complete.

The bridge being replaced crosses North Fork Anthony Creek, approximately 20 miles West of North Powder, Oregon. While the bridge is under construction, through traffic will not be able to pass and forest officials do not recommend traveling this route with trailers, as turn-arounds are very limited.

We continue to recommend that forest visitors check the forest website, social media sites or stop by a local office for updated road information before heading out into the woods.
