As part of a national effort, we conducted an analysis of National Forest System roads to identify the minimum road system needed “for travel and for administration, utilization, and protection of National Forest System lands.”

The Travel Management Plan categorizes travel designations under two seasons: summer and winter. Summer is defined as: May 21 through November 22. Winter is defined as: November 23 through May 20. MVUMs for White River National Forest are free and available at ranger district offices and online.
