Get Your Christmas Tree Permit
Permits are available seasonally at Recreation.gov
Permit Cost: The cost of a permit is $10 with a limit of 5 permits per person. All permit sales are final and payments are not subject to refund.
Permit Purchase Locations:
Vendors: Christmas tree permits are available to purchase at a variety of vendors located in communities in and around the White River National Forest. Please check with vendor directly on store hours. List of 2023 Vendors (.pdf) (Please note that vendors are able to redeem 4th grade/Every Kid Outdoors passes. These must be presented at district offices or redeemed online at Recreation.gov.)
Online Christmas Tree Sales: Christmas Tree permits are available for purchase online at Recreation.gov. Permits cost $10 per tree with a limit of 5 trees per household. An additional recreation.gov service fee applies.
Sales at Forest Service Offices: All White River Forest Service Offices will be offering Christmas Tree permits. Please contact your local Forest Service office for specific information.
