Forest Plan Monitoring Reports

On April 9, 2012 the Forest Service released its 2012 Planning Rule. As part of this rule, a Monitoring Report would be published every two years. To prepare for this new rule the Forest prepared a new Monitoring Strategy that met the requirements of the 2012 Planning Rule.

Monitoring and evaluation are important elements in the implementation of the Forest Plan. They are key to making the Plan a dynamic and responsive tool for managing a complex set of natural resources and values in a climate of social and economic change. Monitoring reports reflect the implementation of the Willamette National Forest Plan that was approved in 1990.
