Paving of Highway 46 (Detroit to Estacada) Begins July 13

The Detroit Ranger District, in cooperation with the City of Detroit, is paving the lower 2 miles of Forest Service Road 46, commonly known as Highway 46. The work will take approximately 2-3 weeks and will begin July 13 and continue for several weeks. The work will restrict traffic to one lane, resulting in delays of 10-20 minutes. The work will occur Mondays through Fridays to limit impacts to weekend visitors.

There will be no closures of campground or trailheads.
