West Fork Bridge Project
The Coconino National Forest is in the process of planning and conducting an environmental analysis for the replacement of a structurally deficient bridge on Forest Service Systems Lands. The bridge is located in the West Fork of Oak Creek on Forest Service Road 231 on the Peaks/Mormon Lake Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest (see attached map). The Coconino National Forest proposes to remove the existing structurally deficient timber bridge and replace it with a new bridge structure while maintaining the natural flow regime and allowing for unhindered aquatic organism passage. The new structure would meet all current codes and regulations to meet the load requirements for heavy equipment, such as conventional semi or tractor-trailer vehicle weighing 36 tons.

Snowbowl Final EIS and Record of Decision
The Coconino National Forest has released the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Arizona Snowbowl Improvement project.
Coconino National Forest Supervisor Nora Rasure selected Alternative 2, which calls for a broad set of upgrades and improvements to the ski area. The major aspect of the selected alternative is the addition of snowmaking to the resort. When the infrastructure is completed, the resort will be able to make artificial snow using reclaimed wastewater on just over 200 acres of skiing terrain. The decision also allows for improvements in the ski area's lift capacity, the addition of 74 acres of new ski runs, the construction of a managed snowplay area and improvements to the guest services (lodges) at Snowbowl. Additional improvements and upgrades to the ski area are described in the FEIS.

Final Environmental Impact Statement for Integrated Treatment of Noxious or Invasive Weeds
This final environmental impact statement (FEIS) documents the analysis of the potential environmental consequences of the implementation of an integrated weed treatment (IWM) program for the Coconino, Kaibab, and Prescott National Forests. The FEIS has been prepared in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) guidelines as set by the Council of Environmental Quality in 40 CFR 1500-1508 and Forest Service Handbook 1909.15. The six main chapters of this document describe the proposed action, purpose and need and significant issues, alternatives including the proposed action, affected environment, environmental effects, list of preparers, and adaptive management as well as monitoring. The appendix material includes such items as the proposed forest plan amendment; design features, best management practices, and mitigation measures; maps of noxious weed infestations; herbicide susceptibility of rare plants, cumulative impacts project list, agency letters, and response to comments.
