2020 Central Oregon Personal Use Firewood Synopsis & Maps

The Synopsis contains the rules and regulations for all the central Oregon firewood areas: Deschutes & Ochoco National Forests, Crooked River National Grassland and the Prineville District of the Bureau of Land Management.

Maps for the Deschutes National Forest are mostly within the Synopsis; however there are a couple of Supplemental Maps people should be aware of for both the Bend-Ft. Rock Ranger District on the Deschutes National Forest and for the Ochoco National Forest. As a reminder, there's free personal use firewood cutting from May 1- May 31 on the Deschutes and Ochoco National Forests and Crooked River National Grassland. Beginning in June, you can purchase firewood permits from our USFS offices or at one of our vendor locations.
