Journals – Our collection includes hardcopies of some peer-reviewed journals, and many electronic journals, available to USDA/USFS staff, can be accessed through the National Forest Service Library [External Site: Opens in New Window] and USDA National Agricultural Library [External Site: Opens in New Window] websites.
Vertical File and Country Boxes – Documents are acquired through publications’ exchange agreements and technology transfer visits to other countries by the Institute’s staff. Their description is in the catalog mentioned above.
Slides and Photographs - We have a historical collection which documents field work since the 1930’s at the Luquillo Experimental Forest, and state and private forests; and the work done by the Institute’s scientists in Puerto Rico and the world. A selection of photos are available at International Institute of Tropical Forestry CCC Photo Collection [External Site: Opens in New Window].
Maps – We have a collection of all the maps published by the Institute, and a few historical maps of El Yunque National Forest.
Posterity File – We have copies of every publication generated by the Institute’s scientific and technical staff since the 1930’s.
