About the Library

The Institute Library was founded in 1939, as a Research Station Library within the newly established Tropical Forest Experiment Station, now the International Institute of Tropical Forestry.

In 2007, it was incorporated into the National Forest Service Library (NFSL) Program. It is now one of two specialized libraries within the NFSL, the other being the Forest Products Laboratory Library in Madison, WI.

The Library is part of the State & Private Forestry Program, here at the International Institute of Tropical Forestry.

Scope
