Lassen Land and Resource Management

Forest Planning

The Forest Service has completed a detailed planning process including studies of the lands, resources, and the socio-economic interest in the National Forest as well as a detailed study and analysis of many different alternatives for management.

Environmental Analyses NEPA

The NEPA process consists of an evaluation of the environmental effects of a federal undertaking including its alternatives. There are three levels of analysis depending on whether or not an undertaking could significantly affect the environment. These three levels include: categorical exclusion determination; preparation of an environmental assessment/finding of no significant impact (EA/FONSI); preparation of an environmental impact statement (EIS). This site contains some of the projects that are currently in the NEPA process.

Forest Projects

The Lassen National Forest implements many projects on the forest. This site contains some of the more recent projects being implemented on the forest.
