Over Snow Vehicle Use Map
Dec 1, 2014 - The Lolo National Forest’s Over Snow Vehicle Use Maps (OSVUM) are now the official map for over snow vehicle use. Click on the links below to view the new maps or visit a Lolo National Forest District office to pick up free copies. Please note, the Superior and Plains Ranger Districts are combined on one two-sided map and the Ninemile and Missoula Districts are combined on one two-sided map.
The Lolo National Forest’s Over Snow Vehicle Use Maps (OSVUMs) are free maps used to designate open routes, restricted routes, open areas, restricted areas, and snowmobile trails for over snow vehicle use across the forest. These maps designate roads and trails for winter use.
Please abide by motorized use rules on the forest and do not travel with motorized vehicles on roads and trails that are not designated open.
The OSVUM, which will be updated annually, should be used in conjunction with the Forest Visitor Map and the Motor Vehicle Use Map to navigate on the forest. Please stop by one of your local Ranger District offices to pick up a copy of the OSVUM. You may contact any one of the Ranger Districts for more information.
