Junior Ranger Program
We need your help to take care of the National Forests. Come be a part of the Forest Ranger team by becoming a Junior Ranger! Each forest has a booklet filled with games and activities. The more you complete in the booklet, the more prepared you’ll be to get out on the trail and know what’s around you.
Chugach National Forest
While visiting the Chugach National Forest, be just like a scientist and document your surroundings in at least four activities. Once you’re done, find a Forest Service Ranger to help you complete the pledge and join us!

Begich, Boggs Visitor Center
Don’t have time for a long trip into the woods? Take a trip to this visitor center and use this booklet to work through the exhibits. Learn about ecosystems, plants, and creatures large and small! Complete at least four activities and find a Forest Service Ranger to pledge you onto the team.

While visiting the Tongass National Forest, learn about glaciers, how to draw a salmon, and a temperate rainforest. Complete at least four activities and find a Forest Service Ranger to induct you onto the team!
