Decorations Needed For the 2021 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree

The Six Rivers National Forest is honored to provide this year's Christmas tree to adorn the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol, representing the USDA Forest Service and the great state of California. Handmade ornaments and tree skirts by Californians are needed to beautify the tree!

4,000 large ornaments

For U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree:

  • Size between 9 to 12"
  • Colorful & reflective
  • Weatherproof to withstand the elements (wind, rain, snow)

11,000 small ornaments

For 130 companion trees:

  • Size between 4 to 6"
  • Lightweight & colorful
  • Durability not a concern

  • 5 foot diameter
  • Tree skirts could possibly be returned; no guarantees!
