Contracting Information
Are you ready to be successful? Follow these steps:
- Detailed information is available on our “working together” website: www.fs.usda.gov/main/r5/workingtogether.
- Register your business and get a tax id number: Apply for an Employer Identification Number (EIN) online | Internal Revenue Service (irs.gov)
- Navigate to SAM.gov | Contract Opportunities and create a user account.
- To stay in touch with the government, you will also need an “EAuth” account. This account must be used every 90 days in order to keep it active. A Level 2 account will also enable you to use the Virtual Incident Procurement (VIPR) website. Register for an account here.
- VIPR is a web-based application designed to administer preseason Incident Blanket Purchase Agreements (formerly known as Emergency Equipment Rental Agreements or EERAs). VIPR can solicit, award, and manage preseason purchase agreements. To learn more about VIPR, contact the VIPR helpdesk at 866-224-7677 or email questions to: helpdesk@dms.nwcg.gov.
