The Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures (SPCC) Rule was recently amended. The amendments will affect Forest Service facilities with the capacity to store more than 42,000 gallons of oil underground and those with the capacity to store more than 1,320 gallons of oil in aboveground storage containers. Facilities affected by the amendments have until July 1, 2009, to amend and implement their SPCC plan.
