Buying Time: Mothballing Forest Service Facilities By Theron Miller Forest Service facility managers may hold onto buildings that are not currently needed but may be needed in the future. The best way to keep a facility from deteriorating is to keep it occupied. When that isn't possible, "mothballing" is the next best option. This report provides detailed information on preserving Forest Service facilities for future use.
